Default borrow / lend a sportbike June/July

My brother and his wife are flying in from Mass. for the annual summer family visit. (He and his wife are both teachers and get the summer off. Luckies.) Since he's flying, he's not bringing his Redbird (it's a red Blackbird so I tease him about the name).

Anybody feeling so generous that they'd let me borrow a bike for a day, or a few, around that timeframe? No stunting or other dumb stuff would be done. Spirited pace riding, sure, if you'd allow.

I don't think you'll find anyone that'll loan a bike to a Chargers fan ;)

I did a quick google and came up with this:

Your best bet may be to look into a buell from a local dealer. Last I heard they do rent those out-though I could be mistaken. I know that as far as my bike is concerned- I only lend it out to close friends of whose riding ability I am completely confident in-I'm sure you'll run into the same position with others here.

Hey, that's uncalled for. I thought most Packer fans didn't even care about the AFC. At least I'm not a Bears fan.

I understand your feelings completely (and no offense taken). I don't know if I'd lend mine out either. But it's an '06. If I still had a couple of my older bikes from two years ago, sure.

Some of the people on here have met me. They know I hang out at the back of the pack. And that spirited line is mostly a joke; just didn't indicate that well. My spirited is way behind somebody else's spirited.

If no one comes forward, that's fine. But if somebody does, great; (I'll even insure the bike) then I can ride with by brother this summer. We don't get many chances.

Besides, Brian/Moses has so many bikes, he could give one up for a few days and he'd never notice. I just won't ask him about the FZ6 -- he seems to have a thing for that one lately.

You've got my # & email. Let me know what kind of time you're looking at (local vs. flat 4). I was looking at a track weekend somewhere around there, but I doubt work is going to cooperate (still here).

My suspension is probably set up a little goofy compared to a BBird, but he's welcome to try it.
