When God made Kentucky.......
When God made Kentucky.......He was on a bike ;)
So guys end of day one on the roads out here with Japbike......I really don't know where to start.......
After a short stop at Taco Bell to meet up with some of the other locals we headed out onto a road known by the very familiar name of HWY 100 ( no starbucks though)....... If this was to be my induction to the local area, I already had the biggest smile on my face, turn after turn, clean roads, no traffic, well not much to talk of...... Spent alot of the time in 3rd or 4th at 9000+ lots and lots of 25 to 35mph marked corners..... Now this was just the beginning, after this we hit a quick dairy queen stop, some gas, yes we had already done 80 miles and 2 hrs have passed...... Now this is where we hit the best, a short sharp ride about 15mins to the ferry, cross the river and out we go again........ Lots more good twisties......Then we hit a small town and head of to a hill....... Oh my god........none stop 2nd gear turn after turn, 90's 120's uphill, downhill round here, round there.....oooops a gravel track across the road.....turn, turn, turn left right left right....... Oh my god I have never been so scared and excited at the same time........God made Kentucky on a Fucking Sportbike....... We rode that rode 4 times, way too much fun. After that we decided on where we were going to stop for a beer when we got back.......100+ miles more later, lots and lots and LOTS more twisties......
Stopped for some wings and beer at Motor City, watched a pretty funny fight and headed back.......
All in all a kick ass time, can't wit for tomorrow, we're going out to ride again...... ;)
Oh so on a final note, all those who were planning to come to Japbike Kentucky Get Together.......MAKE SURE you do, it's a great place to be.... I think I am going to stick around for a week, then head to the gap for a few days, then come back to meet up with all those of you who are coming down............
See you soon.

Hell yeah!!. The only twisty roads I have around here are .... well there aren't any!! Man, I have never ridden on roads like that, but to do that all day long would be pure nirvana. I guess I'll have to get my kicks on Rte 66.... Rte 53 that is,which would be the new Autbahn Country club racetrack located in Joliet right off of the old Rte 66.

They are great Al, pretty much got used to the GP setup, love the change in the power band great for roads out here........
I'll give you a call later this week to check on those stands..... I'll be back in town so when they do come in just hold on to them I'll pick them up from the shop.
Also if you get a chance can you check into Renthal for me and order the 16 and 17 front and the 46 and 48 rear sprockets. I'll be in town in a week or so, coming there after deals gap.
Oh yeah check into a stiffer rear spring, something more suited to my weight.
Talk to you later mate.
