Ummm... I don't know... I don't think they're doing the trials this year... they're still doing the ATV test rides, but our track has been under water due to the development behind Rob's... we've been woking with the developer to try to get this dried out before the Open House. You could call during the week sometime and check?

After doing the test run yesterday, funkyninja and I were able to better determine how long the route was going to take. With that and the open house festivities, here are the times that everyone will need next Saturday (10/2/04):

I will be at BFS (Brookfield Square) at 9:30am for anyone that wants to ride out together. KICKSTANDS UP PROMPTLY at 10:00am. We will be taking US-18 to CR-Y to Rob's. It will take us approx. 45 minutes to an hour to get there.

The ride will leave Rob's at 12pm or shortly after. The route will take us approx. 2 1/2 hours with a short stop at the Citgo on CR-O before entering the Holy Hill area. The group should be back at Rob's by 3:00pm at the latest for anyone that wants to enjoy the rest of the festivities, take an ATV test ride, or to head home and prepare for the Crud Run on Sunday.

Hopefully the ride will happen this time around. So far the extended forecast looks good.

I'm pretty sure I have to work till 11, and it takes me a hour to get there, so I'm going to try to haul ass up there to make it for the ride.

You start out motorcycling with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.

Anyone that want to see a map of the route? I just hate a date w/ Yahoo maps and Photochop. It is a large pic (3056x3004, 700k) but if it's any smaller you can't read road names.

I might be in for part of the ride granted I am up there around noon... I might just stop by the mall in the morning for the ride there... I'm still kinda new on the bike and hogsback/st. augustine scare the hell out of me in the cars and I can't imagine on a bike... so I might just pop off the ride in Dousman where I live...

as long as you go slow and take your time, it's not that bad. i rode St. Augustine and Hogsback for the first time on saturday, they're still new to me. I have no problem going slow if some others want to be more aggresive through that stretch. Come on out, you'll have a good time

Thanks but there's no need to hold everyone up just for me. There's always a chance I'll have to stay late so I can't give an exact time on when I'll show.

I know it said to disregard your question but I'm going to throw this out for anyone else that isn't meeting us at BFS and is going straight there.

There "official" address is (this is what most every site on the Internet says and what they'll tell you):

601 HWY Y
Johnson Creek, WI 53038

But if you do a Mapquest on that address it isn't able to find it. I found this exact street address about a year ago and Mapquest can find it.

109 S. Watertown St.
Johnson Creek, WI 53038

It's real easy... 94 to south on 26... 'bout a mile... we're right on the corner of 26 and Y. ;)

This is a pretty straight forward route, but I recommend against posting ride routes unless you guys are riding like old farts the whole way.
