Virgina (Hampton Roads) Rider Network
Alright, enough is enough! I am sick and tired of riding alone!
So, here's my proposal to all of us that live here in the hampton roads virginia area. I am getting my boots on and heading out to go for a spin on this warm summer November evening, and I am inviting anyone else along that wants to ride. Whenever I go out for a ride and I have my computer available I will log in here to give the rest of us locals a heads up.
I encourage everyone else in the area to do the same. I like riding alone sometimes too, but right now and often times it just is a hell of a lot more fun riding with others.
I'll either be on an 04 RC51 (silver/red) or 04 SV1000s (blue/silver) with black helmet. I'm starting in Chesapeake and heading toward VA Beach. If you see me, ride along.
Don't sit at your computers Get out here and ride. Can't wait to get a blast of caffeine followed by a good dose of throttle Hope to see some of you out there
John

Hey Deeez! Good little ride around the block I just got back from Went up battlfield to military N to Little Creek to Shore Dr. Stopped by WAWA near gate 5 NABLC to gas up and then kept going down shore to N Great Neck to VA Beach to lynnhaven to 264. Did a merry go round through the downtown tunnel in and out of portsmouth and then headed back home. Man, I didn't see one bike over the last two hours.
I'm a cold weather rider too. As long as it's in the forties or above and not wet(don't want to get the bike too messy), I'll ride. Once the thirties set in I turn into a cager though.
Kinda hard to say what the weather is going to do this weekend but as long as the weather is ok and I am free, I'll ride. Hopefully, others will start posting on here and it'll turn into a regular thing for all locals to use.

Hey Gsxie, was that you I saw riding by my neighborhood on a black and yellow GSXR this afternoon? I was just getting close to home when I saw a woman on the above described merging onto Battlefield in the opposite direction. It was too late by the time I noticed to wave.

Damn This Weather!!! Man, I am pissed I didn't even get out this weekend when the weather was decent. If the roads are dry tomorrow morning I'm ridin. I don't care what the temperture is.
Anyone want to chime in on this past weekends adventures. I feel forced to live vicariously through all of you concerning motorcycling. Mine consisted of domestic activity and I did get to finish up the fender eliminator for the RC51

Have a good one. Wish I could go along but I've got duty Sunday am through Monday am and then on into a day of work Monday. The Corps plays hell with my social life. Check out Sandbridge road and on out to the beach. You could spend a couple hours out there by Pungo and not get bored. Some good stretches with minimal traffic and the occasional 90 degree turns. Ive been out that way a bit but by the Gsxie sounds she knows the area a lot better.
There's Princess Anne Rd. It dead ends into nothingness if you're southbound, but the route is kinda fun.
Anyone ever ride around Johnstown Rd/ Benefit Rd/ Bunch Walnuts in south Chesapeake? hehehehe
The place I've been hearing about but have not found yet is the abandoned air strip out in Pungo. Anyone know where that is?

Brother, I'm from Cleveland. I know how you feel. Good luck with staying warm and sane up there for the next three to four months. OMG.... that really does suck considering, we are only talking about three to four days at a time that we're unable to ride.
