Next time, try Sportbike Track Gear. Or some of the other sponsors of this site.

Well, I had to dispute the ONLY purchase I WILL EVER make with Ridegear. My cc company got the money back for me. I was never able to get ANY response from anyone are Ridegear. I could not get an RMA within their return policy timeframe. They shipped me a ladies jacket instead of a men's. I know that this very thing happened to several people.

Also, be sure to add one more complaint to the list of BBB complaints. I just filed mine.

NewEnough.com rocks! MotorcycleCloseouts.com rocks!

Ridegear.....well, feel free to use my signature!

i will do that if i dont get a response from them by tomorrow afternoon. they list the jacket i bought as "in stock-ready to ship" and the boots say they ship w/in 24-48 hours. the gloves are supposed to be dropshipped. as far as i know, nothing has been shipped yet.

You're joking right? I've had and heard of more problems with ebay and paypal than any any other place. You simply cant rely on them because you really have no clue who you're buying from. If you think Paypal actually protects you from anything you're dreaming. I'm still out about $300 from a deadbeat seller that's being protected by paypal. He's got my money, and I've got a lighter wallet.

Yep, RideGear sucks. They told me they had the boots I wanted in stock. Called them 2 weeks later and shockingly they were 'mistaken' but told me they should be shipped to them from their supplier within the week. So like an idiot I waited. After another week I started calling. It took me several days to get someone to answer their customer service line since they blew off my emails. I canceled my order and fortunately got my money back. So I would start calling now and maybe you'll get thru to them by next week.

New Enough is absolutely the opposite. They are great. They get all my business now and I've gotten some outrageous deals in their bargain basement'.

Good luck, unfortunately you're going to need it.

Yeah I got an email from them a couple weeks ago saying that my order has shipped, and I was like, WTF? What order?

Then a few days later some Shift knee pads that I had ordered for like $12.95 TWO MONTHS prior showed up at my door. I had totally forgot I ordered them. LOL good deal for $12.95 shipped though, just sucks it took so long to get here.

I don't think they stock anything, everything they sell is drop shipped.

just read paypal terms. glad i used them. i have to wait most likely but here is what it says, so if ridegear doesn't send the jacket they have to refund me it sounds like. here is the policy on not sending items, maybe a good reason to use paypal, now ebay i have been burned on.

If the buyer claims that the item was not received, the seller must be able to prove that the item was delivered to the address listed on the Transaction Details page by providing PayPal with a Viewable Online Proof of Delivery For transactions equal to $250.00 USD (or the equivalent in the currency of the transaction) or more in value, the seller will also need to provide a a Viewable Online Signature Confirmation

Thumbs down

I'm also having a problem with this company. Ordered an RS-3 on March 12, again they had no problem charging my credit card almost immediately. They sent me a confirmation email saying they would send another when the order has shipped (1-4 days). It's now the 24th and no email. They've completely ignored my email complaint and I can't get through on the phone either. After about 10 minutes on hold because they are "assisting other customers" the system cuts you off and tells you to call back another time.

Of all the internet orders from all the different companies I have made them from, this is the worst customer service I have yet experienced.

I'll give it one more shot tomorrow or later today before I stop payment on the credit card.

well they are a scam and no they will never respond. i am so glad i used paypal. if they dont respond within 15 days of being asked by paypal where my item is and proving they have shipped an item worth what i paid for i am refunded no questions. it is safer than a cc if your cc can't get a dispute. paypal does not mess around if the seller does not communicate. ordered from newenough.com and love them they are a joke how professional and helpful they are. steered me from alpine boots though more expensive cause of my foot and helped me pick out some sidis and a better jacket. the only reason i used ridegear was because they were the only ones left with the jacket i wanted in that color. newenough!!!!!!!

so paypal was going to file the dispute in my favor. ridegear would not communicate. all of a sudden i get an email from paypal saying they did get RG to respond and had a track number and the jacket came the next day. Well still I don't want the jacket and like you guys said I called the number. Two things fellas and ladies. They no longer do returns or anything over internet they have had problems getting email. It is clear on there. So I call and of course like you all said I would be put on hold for 20 mins and then it eventually tells you to call back. I said fuck it I had nada to do and this 350 coat which I already bought a new one from newnough cause they weren't shipping or responding. Anyways I finally get a girl on the phone. She takes my call and is nice as can be. Their phones and email have been down. Now I am not stupid and I know B.S but I think she was telling the truth. U may have to call 3-4 times but you can get someone on the phone and they will get you your ship confirm on an order or an RMA if you need to exchange. She saw that I had made a claim and we talked about it and she said they are aware that people on forums think they are scamming and its truly a problem with their phones and email which they are fixing. She said anyone who is having problems be persistant like I did and keep calling. The phones are automatically not going thru so if you keep calling you will get someone and they took care of me. We shall see if I am refunded but she gave me an extension number for her and it does have her voicemail. I thought it was only fair to give them that on here and let guys know to get your speakerphone on and call till they pick up cause its a glitch and you'll get thru eventually. Take care y'all and get your gear or refund cause I don't believe they are scamming. They realize without paypal they can't function and people cancelling credit cards and they are eager to stay in business. I will update when I get my FUNDS back for sure though. This is no sales pitch. I'm still out 350 till they get me back and on principal wont' buy my boots till i get it back as I will sell it on ebay if i need to.

I've never dealt with a company like this before. I placed an order on 3/23 and I haven't heard anything back from them aside from the order confirmation. This is insane. No response to emails and the phone just puts you on hold for 10 minutes and then disconnects.

Time to dispute it with Paypal.

It's been a month since I ordered from Ridegear. I'm currently in the middle of a credit card dispute. Meanwhile I finally get an email saying the order shipped. I'll believe it when it gets here.
