Buy a track bike! OK Suppose you and another rider tangle WOULD your insurance pay for his bike I think not? Check with your insurance agent.

I don't know of a single insurance company that will pay for your wreck at the track. I know people who have wrecked at the track and then filed a police report that the wreck happened somewhere else, but that's fraud and I wouldn't reccomend it.

Also there is a saying at the track: "What happens at the track, stays at the track"

So even if another guy purposely clips your rear tire because he's pissed you passed him or something, guess who's paying for the bike? YOU. That's how all tracks do it, every accident is a no fault accident and you pay for whatever damages are incurred to your own bike and person.

If you don't already have good medical insurance, get some, most companies will cover you no matter what you are doing, but be sure to ask them first. Luckily the military covers me in anything I do.

so then how is it that people can actually take their nice new r6's and gsxr 1000's? or are these very few people who can afford it and most people just have a $2000 bike for the track?

well, FYI trackdays aren't timed events..........but i highly advise against claiming your bike should you wreck at trackday. just ride within YOUR limits.

Claiming a track accident is Fraud. As for people putting their new machines on the track, it happens every track day. As previous stated, what happens at the track stays at the track.

Yes, definitely recommend against the fraud thing.... especially when most trackdays have photographers that take pictures and post them on the internet.

Don't some places consider it Advanced Rider Training, and insurance covers any training done on your own bike.
