Default gear for drag?

just wondering what kind of gear you would need to have if you wanted to go to your local track to do a couple of runs.also do you have to run against another bike or could you also race a car

For drag racing you will need.
Helmet with clear visor
Gloves
Jacket
Leather over ankle shoes or boots
Chain guard
Good tires
If your bike will trap faster than 120mph add
Leather jacket and pants
Tether Kill switch

If 9.99 or faster probably NHRA Liscense

Some tracks are more lenient and some are more strict. This is just of a guideline from what I have found...

Oh and most tracks dont run cars and bikes together. Personally I wouldn't want to race cars. All you would need would be for some hotrod car get all out of shape and cross lanes and smack ya and it would be all over...

We race cars all the time. No problem with that. And many times, most cars are slower than you on the track...
But did get to see a camaro do exactly that this past weekend. but it was up against a zx10 so no problem in that area

Or what happens if the bike rider crashes and ends up in the other lane in front of a car. I'll pass on racing the cagers...

Never been on one (none on my f**king island) but I would say u need the best protective gear u can get, even a neck protector, as its not like on the track that if u fall off u slide for some time and then thats mostly it, on the drag strips which I've seen on vid clips they have walls on the side and if somebody hits against one of them....

(do drag strips normaly have a checklist of minimum gear u have to wear ? thats what I think would be wise to do)

Most tracks do. especially if its a "public" drag racing time.
Dont see the problem. if a cager crashes, more than likely it'll be behind you.

If you crash, you more than likely will not cross the lanes. You'll be kissing gardrails (or tires)
