On The TrackHad a trackday, a good or bad day at the track? Want to get started racing? Just like racing? Cmon insde and post questions, results or comments.
Don't know about you folks, but we only have on weekend left at Loudon. Our season is nearly done. How many weekends do you have left and how has it been going? Any notable races? Crashes? Wins?
I've just got one more weekend, the GNF (more like a week I guess lol)
kinda sucks cause I won't be racing next year but it was a good season, no wins yet unfortunately

Did you make a lot of progress regarding riding skill/ technique?
We've got 2 weekends left and a 4hr endurance race in December during the awards banquet weekend.
My season was where I thought it would be. Won a couple of races on a borrowed LW bike (650 Ninja) and got a couple of 2nds riding a borrowed Motard (both which I've got very limited saddle time on).
I retired from racing Mid-season but still teach the Racers School. For me, it's a lot more enjoyable to see someone improve and develop new riders.

I cut my season short because I wasn't going to win anything for the season. That and my budget was a bit misapropriated. I could have raced one more weekend or called it a season and bought a new full exhaust (LeoV).
I had a lot of fun this year and I'm looking forward to just doing the WERA series next year. This season I jumped around from CCS to WERA to even Team Promo's little series. Next season I will approach much more seriously and better budgeted. It should be fun. In the mean time, I need to focus on work and family. I'm a CPA so winter is my busy time. I'll still manage to play on here and read Road Racer mags!
Take care everyone!

My season is pretty much over. I could do a few more track days, but I think I'm going to save the money for next year.
This year was big for me because I finally put in my first track...and my second...and third...and forth...and...sixth. I was able to see noticeable improvement in my riding every day on the track and finally a huge leap when I made the jump from my street bike to a dedicated track machine. All in all, this was my best year of riding yet.
No racing for me...yet...but I see it in my future.

Yeah, winding down for me, too.
Instructing tomorrow, racing Lightweight Sportman and Production Twins this weekend & that's that.
Lookin to end the season w/ a bang & take home another 1st place in Production Twins. If I can't win the AM PTwin Championship this year (had to sit out 4 race weekends w/ a broken wrist), the LEAST I can do is beat the guy who just clinched it
I ended/started my season with a crash. Was in the licensing class when I low sided. Ended up in a tire wall at around 60-70 mph. My humorous was not amused and is now being held together with a plate and 6 screws. Hopefully next year treats me better!!

that sucks bro. I've got some reduced mobility but no more nerve damage... had alot of numb spots on my hand after surgery that eventually cleared up but no real damage from the injury itself.
Is the hardware gonna come out eventually? Mine's comin out over the winter.
I have the two races Philbie mentioned, plus possibly a third in Vegas, and a coupla trackdays.
Next year, I think I may do a fast-guy school someplace, too, before the start of the '08 season.

I have those wonderful numb spots. As for getting the hardware out...don't know yet. I will find out more about that next Monday.

I had the hardwear removed from my elbow fracture (plate 6 screws) and very glad I did. Besides the obvious weight savings benefits, I dont hit the screws on things anymore.
