On The TrackHad a trackday, a good or bad day at the track? Want to get started racing? Just like racing? Cmon insde and post questions, results or comments.
Did another trackday on saturday, and I don't really feel like I'm getting any faster. I've done 2 days now at this track and about 6-8 other days at various tracks. Just wondering if anything is obviously wrong (other than more throttle) in the video?

I would guess the only limting factor is your mind. (not trying to be a smartass here)
learn the track more, braking points, turn in points etc. and just go faster and be smoother.
it all comes with practice practice practice.
hoax, did you see the lap times are posted?

They lost me and then magicly found me today.
My best was 1:51.515 so yup your bike is faster than mine.. (and it's only the bike thats faster )

I'm pretty sure it is just my mind. I'm sure I could run into the turns harder and get on the brakes later.
Our lap times (mine and coronadozx's) are on the slow side of the intermediate group. I'm having mixed thoughts about bumping up though. I'm worried I'll try to hard to keep up and end up crashing, but at the same time I can't keep getting caught up by the slow people in the beginner group.. what to do..

From watching the video I could tell you are looking at the person infront of you, and not looking through the turns. You are taking the same lines as the person infront of you. Don't watch them, who cares about them. Look through the turns, and open the throttle a bit more. But remeber, Smooth riding is better than fast riding. You first have to be smooth before you can be fast.
I like to corner work track too before I ride them. I then learn the track, by watching others. Seeing where they brake, or hit the gas, or where people have the most mistakes.

sweet ... what level were you running? i was there last month and also this past weekend.
i was running in the novice and level 1 group.
the novice class was probably the best $100 investment i could have made toward sportbikes.

Cool, sounds like you're a track addict too.
I was in B sport group.
When is your next one? There's lots of choices for Labor day weekend. I'm just worried about traffic on the way back home.

definitely love the track. big willow has been my only track so far, can't wait to get on another one.
as for my next one ... i don't know. i am going to bahrain for 12 months (leaving in about 6 weeks), so i don't know if i'll be able to fit another trackday prior to leaving.
