Would you bring a 6 month old to the track?
Going to the track is a family thing for us, my Mom, Grandparents, brother and sisters like to come out and lend support to me (my Dad is the resident mechanical expert). It's nice to have some encouragement and especially a known routine from the same people being at the races with me. My question is this: my oldest sister has a 6 month old girl and was asking me if I think she should bring the baby to the track. I would think earplugs are a must, but I am not sure if I am overlooking any precautionary measures that she should take to make sure that this family get-together is as successful as all the other times. Any advice or anything I am missing here besides regular motherly duties that she would have to do anywhere? Thanks again!
(PS- I am a single 23 year-old dude and I know nothing about babies)

IMO, I don't think it should be an issue to bring a baby to the track. I see people do it all the time! I think it's great that your family is so supportive!
I would just make sure that you provide plenty of water, food sunscreen, shade and bring a hat. Oh, and don't forget the love and kisses when the baby gets scared
Good luck!

My Sis is a great Mom, she is just concerned with the noise and the effect this could have on my Niece. We have a air conditioned trailer that she can hang out in if the baby is upset, but like I said before I have no clue when it comes to babies so I wanted to ask. Thanks again.

Also, when I went to the track without my Dad last weekend the lack of routine he brings to the event threw me for a loop. I like to have the same things happen each time before a race, every time. I still won but it wasn't the same as when I know he will watch for the white flag the race before me and then pull the warmers, give me a pep talk and get me ready to go. I'm hoping that folks don't think that a very small baby at an event is a bad idea since I am so dependant on the same routine we have had for a couple of years now.
This got me thinking: Does anyone else have the same routine each race weekend that puts them at ease for the upcoming race? I know I do, and without my old man in the pits doing the same thing every race I get kinda nervous.

I have a very standard routine.....but I do everything...and I wouldn't have it any other way! I'm a control freak and proud of it.
sometimes my fiance goes to check my lap times and grid position but other than that her main jobs are making sure I have cold drinks, tearing down the campsite because I'm usually too tired, and making sure our dog doesn't do anything insane.
oh and about the baby...I have no idea...I'm a 25 year old guy who knows nothing about babies! I would guess make sure about ear plugs and keep her cool.
