On The TrackHad a trackday, a good or bad day at the track? Want to get started racing? Just like racing? Cmon insde and post questions, results or comments.
Hey guys, I'm trying to get on the track and am going to get a suit and boots on Friday. I have also scheduled to get the bike track prepped when I get my recalled 2CT front tire replaced. I would appreciate it if some of you guys could point me in the right direction as to where I can get information regarding track days/track schools within a decent range(150miles) of the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. Thanks.

Track days and hopefully progress to racing...I can get my knee down(well I could but don't have a suit so I can't really say I've done it) but I know that I have a lot to learn before I can go out and try to race. So track days/track schools for now and maybe race next season or late this season if I progress very rapidly.
Both are track days organizations and run some pretty top notch programs and they have tracks everywhere!

the Cornerspeed school at Virginia International Raceway is amazing. I've been there three springs in a row.... and it's a 14 hour drive for me.... one way. I can't recommend them enough, I highly suggest you look into their events. They do both track days and race schools.

and the other suggestions...or if you have a news stand pickup...roadracing world magazine which has extensive schedules in the back.
You'll probably want to go to Summit Point (there are three tracks...try to do 'Main') or VIR..both are a blast!
