Ok everyone, since the race season is right around the corner...what race plastics are you running? If you can give a detail about price, what you think about them, difficulty in fitment and such.

I just picked this up on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...0072&rd=1&rd=1
Don't know yet about fit and finish. But for the price I got it, hell, it's worth a shot.
And for the tail section, I'll be using a spare stock tail that I got for $35...

Yeah, let know about that stuff, I was going to bid, but then his feedback made me hesitate.
I have Hots upper/lower on the ninja and am happy with them. I got them through team privateer, so it was little less. But the tail I got from Godfather, I"m not happy with at all. I'm looking to replace it

Yeah I checked their gear out too and saw the feedback and changed my mind. Hopefully I can one of my sponsors to pick up the tab on the plastics.

What's wrong with their feedback? Yes they only have 69 but with only one complaint, I'm willing to take the chance. Plus it's race plastics...it don't need to be pretty.
(oh...and I might change my mind on this if I never recieve the items )
I read some complaints in their feedback about fitment being way off, even in the positive comments. But again, it is race plastic

I currently have AirTech 'grey line' body work on my bike because I was tight on cash when I was buying bodywork (the grey line series is 'cheaper' and not made in the USA). My big complaint with AirTech in the past has been that they didn't crash very well (and that was when I had the more expensive line made by AirTech), but I haven't crashed in quite a while (never on my '02 GSXR 750) so I can't comment on the latest bodywork I bought from them. The fit was pretty good, but I had to drill the holes myself which I'm not real fond of.
Previously I had Sharkskinz on one of my bikes and liked them alot, but they were over 1/2 again the price of the AirTech grey line series. The Sharkskinz I had fit excellent, were already drilled in the correct locations, and crashed extremely well a couple times. The biggest difference I noticed about the Sharkskinz was that they were quite flexible, whereas the AirTechs were more rigid and had a gelcoat on them that would chunk out when crashed and even sometimes when flexed enough. Based on my experiences so far I'm a real fan of the Sharkskinz and would highly recommend them, I can't really suggest another manufacturer since I haven't used other brands.

What you just read is my opinion and is based on my experiences and the info I have acquired during my life, it's my interpretation and isn't written in stone. Yes, I post long responses regularly because I like to fully explain my views. Don't like it or agree with what I have to say? Then don't read it or respond to it! Respond like an immature idiot to posts of mine and I will just ignore you. Have a nice day.
Oh...I got Will (not you, Tragik) in my corner. He can make anything fit on a bike.
That'll take care of any fitment problems
