Yes, I post long responses regularly because I like to fully explain my views. Don't like it or agree with what I have to say? Then don't read it or respond to it! Respond like an immature idiot to posts of mine and I will just ignore you. Have a nice day.

Sorry, From the Mobile Register
Quote:
Plans to build a multimillion-dollar Alabama Motorsports Park in coastal Alabama will be announced Tuesday by investors who have been working for more than two years to bring one of the nation's most popular sports to Mobile or Baldwin county, according to a publicist for the investment group.
The partners in Gulf Coast Entertainment LLC plan to build an oval speedway, road course, dirt track and a drag strip, along with an RV park and other entertainment facilities, according to Tonia Jackson of PSE-3, Partners In Sports and Entertainment, a marketing firm based in Raleigh, N.C.
State and national celebrities and officials have been invited to a kickoff that is expected to draw more than 300 guests to the Arthur R. Outlaw Mobile Convention Center, according to investors. The potential economic impact of bringing a major motorsports park to Alabama will be presented during the event, according to Jackson.
She added that she expects to get thousands of calls about the news conference, which was announced Friday, but she said the firm will not answer additional media questions until Tuesday.
Former Mayor Mike Dow has said that he has a contract with the investors to help launch and promote the motorsports park. Dow was out of town and could not be reached for additional comment Friday. He continues to work as an executive at CentraLite Systems, a local company that makes automated lighting controls, but is taking time to work on the motorsports project, he has said.
The investors have not decided where to build the motorsports park, but they have purchase options on four sites, two each in Baldwin and Mobile counties, according to Rick Edwards of Point Clear, one of the investors. The Baldwin sites are near the 14-mile Foley Beach Express, he said.
The project cost was estimated at $350 million two years ago when the group announced plans to bring a racing venture to south Alabama. Investors first focused on landing a NASCAR race, but have now expanded their search for a signature event.
"We're interested in Indy- or Formula 1-type races," Edwards has said. "We didn't want to just limit it to NASCAR. We thought if we had a road course, we could open it up for different types of events."
The dozen investor partners will be named Tuesday, among them sports celebrities, professional drivers and team owners. Local partners include developer Tim James, a former gubernatorial candidate and partner in the Baldwin County Bridge Co., which built the Foley Beach Express toll bridge; Bob Shallow, owner of REMAX Paradise in Orange Beach; and Rick Skelton, who owns the Hyper-Sport team that competes in the Grand American Road Racing Association. He is also one of the developers of Bon Secour Village, a mixed-use community under construction on the Intracoastal Waterway in Gulf Shores.
The investors also include Bill Futterer, former president of Cleveland NFL Football LLC, the group that brought pro football back to Cleveland in 1999. He owns PSE-3, which is considered one of the nation's top motorsports marketing firms, according to Edwards.
