Default CIAO.........................Ducati

Well the AMA is going to have a less rich field for the 2007 as the powers that be at Ducati North America announced they are leaving the superbike
series. It seems that the less than stellar results they have had over the past three years have not provided the return they wanted.
Needless to say fans like myself are very sad that the Italians are leaving.
They have more limited resources then the big four and obviously are allocating it where they feel they will get the best return.
The other issue is that they dont have the advantages that they enjoy in world super bike. Further they are lobbying for an increase in displacement
that is being recieved coldly.
So the italians are taking there toys and going home. We as race fans are losing a race team that always challenges for the lead and provides first class equipment.
So what do you think?

This definitely stinks. Not that I am a big Ducati fan but it sure adds something to have them in the series.

Hopefully Yamaha will step up and produce a competitive Superbike for next year.

It's going to be interesting to see what happens with Ben Bostrom and Neil Hodgson. I think that Eric Bostrom and Jamie Hacking would get the Yamaha Superbike rides if they come about.
