I will be there with Safety First Racing.

Even though it's in my region for CCS I would rather go to other tracks since I'm not following any race classes in my region this season. Gingerman is an OK racetrack it's just with the 90* heat and humidity this weekend, and the cost of going by myself, I would rather put the money toward going to a 'destination track' or possibly taking another advanced racer improvement school. With Hastings Motorsports Park opening soon, and CCS going there at the end of September when the weather should be awesome, I would rather go try that new track out instead. It also looks like I have at least 1 other racer that says he will for sure go to the Race Of Champions at Daytona with me in late October, so that's yet another reason not to waste money during the season on an event I really don't want to go to anyways (which saves me a minimum of $500).

Hope you have fun John, so what are you doing there anyways - just agonizing over not being out racing again yourself? LOL Did you ever get a chance to race at Gingerman back in the day, or was that track built after you stopped racing?

I raced the first WERA race ever run at that track. It was bumpy back then.

I was working the pits for Safety First racing and doing some business. So Tony Meiring ran a 1.23.7 on his Supersport GSXR600. He was flying and Opie Caylor ran a 1.24.8 on shagged tires. Also, flying.

So, it starts to rain before the race. They grid up and take off. In the first turn, Tony get's t-boned by a guy from CSRacing. It was a racing accident, but, that first turn is alway hairball at that track. He got a concussion and hurt his shoulder.

They packed up after that. Kind of an anti-climax, but still fun to hang out in the hauler and shoot the shit.

Now that's what I'm talking about!!!!!

I would have to go it alone, so it would just be too damn expensive for me. It's about the same distance for me to drive there as it is to drive to Daytona, and since I have someone to split costs with to go there I don't see Miller in my plans this season. But DAMN would I like to try that place out, especially the big track!
