Default $2000 track bike.

Now that my FZ6 is gone and im most likley getting an adventure bike to replace it. Id like to get a bike to use for track days at the end of the season. Hopefully ill get a good deal then and if it needs work I have all winter to mess with it. Im not sure how many id be able to do a year so id like to get a streetable bike and not a former track only bike.

From looking around a bit it seems early 90's FZR600's and CBR600F2's are about my budget. Anything else I should be looking at?

there's always the ex500, but the suspension & chasis are it's weak points. Unless you have a class like Production Twins like we have at Loudon, it needs work to keep up in the races... but for trackdays it's a great bike to learn how to ride fast. The chasis forces you to be smooth & the lack of power forces you to learn cornerspeed.

To put it plainly, the ex500 is so bad, it's good best bang for the buck racebike ever
