So much of this is up to rider experience and knowledge as well as bike set-up. Many people are ignorent to the fact that different model tires (even within a manufacturer) often times have different profiles. Supersport DOT tires are 'LABELED' that way in order to get them able to be used for racing, but in reality they are pretty much a grooved slick race tire. Many people who try several different tire brands or models within a brand make decisions about those tires that are often times inaccurate. Tire profile is part of the witchcraft known as bike set-up, not having a bike set to each tires profile will give you false information as to how those tires work in reality. Places like GMD Computrac can accurately set-up a bike for each tires profile so as to get a more accurate representation of their capability, but this is done by very few riders and racers so lots of bad info ends up floating around out there. A tire that works well for you may have more to do with the current set-up of your bikes chassis than the tire itself, a tire that doesn't work could be a victim of that as well.
Just thought this info might be useful.
