Custom Fitted Leathers

Okay Guys and Gals,

In about a months time I will have my new line of leathers out. I am starting with the testing on the new suits with my team.

So I actually have a few questions and some information to put forth.

Our suits will feature hard armour and a permanent 7 plate link type spine protector, built into the suits. I will be evaluating the suits as soon as they clear customs, (they are made in pakistan, as are about 75% of the suits on the market or somewhere like there) We have decided to partner up with a great company to produce these suits and hope to get more apparel on the way like two peice suits, jackest and the like.

My hope is to be able to get enough interest in these that it make economic sense to bring in off the shelf leathers.

I will be able to, after we test them (and yes that means we will crash test them or something similiar to it before we sell them) to be able to do small team type suits for $1000 or less each suit with any color combination and design work within reason. Now for those that have researched it, thats about 500-1500 less a suit varied by company and design.

How many of you would be interested in this? Could any of you get 4 or more suits ordered for such a price? They would all have to be identicle but the names across the back if so desired. I will have a large selection of colors to choose from and will post pictures of the team suits as soon as they are in my hands for inspection. I will also try to post video clips of us testing them.

Since you guys (racers) are my first potential clients, I would like to know what you think of this and what you would consider a factor in purchasing them.

Specs are as follows

1.4mm cow leather
built in armour
built in spine protector
four color selection on one design
custom fit by 20 measurements
$1000 or less (hopefully as customs is a bitch so far)

and for the ladies, we will be really focused on getting suits made for your body types. I have one set being made for a female with the others for my male riders, so dont worry, I havent forgot about you!!

If you are looking to have a suit or two tested, game would be welcomed here. I would be prepared to write a well written, objective Product Reveiw for placement here on SBN.

fyi. my barnacle bill custom suit was $1000
a top flight custom Vansons can be had for about $1300......

just giving you price points.......

I am aware of this but most companies will charge you a bunch of money once you start talking about 4 colors and intricate designs. I have bought many suits over the years and spent anywhere from $1000 to $2500. I understand the price point but I dont think your going to get any real custom fit suit for less than a grand. Especialy with built in armour and spine protector. Its just to much leather waste. Now with suits that are identicle like orders of four? After I get situated with customs/border patrol and figure out the duty taxes on them may get cheaper.

Thanks for the opinions, and for the offers of testing, sorry guys I got three riders already that have that job as well as myself.
