Default ? about CBR600RR results in various series.

I have a question about how the CBR600RR does in the various classes/series it competes in. Maybe my research is out of whack, but it looks to me like in AMA racing it is barely an also ran in SuperSport, but finished 1/2 in Formula Extreme. Does this imply that it can't compete with the others in nearly stock form but when given a little more tuning leaway [sic?] the mighty Honda R/D machine can put more $ behind it and make it competitive? Or does it just mean that's where Red decided to run this year? Why would thy pick Formula Extreme over SuperSport? I would think SuperSport makes for better braging rights at the dealership. And in WSB, the Honda does well. I know even less about their rules. Is WSB SuperSport similair to AMA SuperSport in that the machines are very close to stock, or is it more like AMA Formula Extreme with more modifications legal?

Just curious as to why it seems to dominate in some places and look more like a back marker in others.

Thanks!

Lightbulb

Depends if you are talking Factory HRC or Privateer Teams. There is quite a difference between the two.

Hope This Helps!

Honda is the only factory in FXtreme while the other 3 factories are in SS. They need to change the class structure.

fuckin tell me about it! why couldnt they keep superbike 1000 twins and 750 fours, supersport for the 600's, formula extreme for the 1000's and superstock for the privateers...it was good that way!

btw, in AFM, the only 600RR's that did good were ones with buckets of money in them....yamaha and suzuki filled the majority of the top spots.
