Default Motegi race sucked. spoiler

damnit capirex!!! how ironic is it that hopkins qualifies on the 1st row for the first time in his life & he gets taken out by capirossi? plus, hopkins did the same thing last year, he took out 3 riders in the 1st corner. irony everywhere. plus roberts, hayden, & edwards were taken out, all the americans!!! i was getting all giddy for a great race too! i'm so pissed. it even allowed a kawasaki on the podium. all is wrong with the world. congrats to tamada though

I saw this thread title before watching the race and hoped you were being sarcastic. Obviously, a few minutes into the race I understood what you meant. Pretty dramatic stuff, but it made for a rather dull race.

Still, it was good to see a Honda on top. I was hoping Gibernau would be able to improve a little and make the championship battle interesting, but it was not meant to be. It looks like Rossi is going to run away with this one as well.

I'm hoping they rework the schedule a little bit for next year, because there is a good possibility I'll be deployed to Qatar from May-August and the Air Force has been known to let us participate in public activities in small groups (10-15ppl), it would be awesome to go!

Yeah, that should certainly be interesting. New track, new atmosphere for the riders, and it'll probably be hot as hell.

Cool thing is that the last 4 MotoGP races are all in October.

Well, from reading a bunch of articles, it doesn't look like Capirossi is going to be punished at all for the first lap mayhem. Kinda BS, but not expected knowing how MotoGP works.

Here is a good picture sequence of what happened:
