Roebling Road Track Days
Any of you guys want to do a track day in Savannah, Ga. At Roebling Road, here is a site to go to for information. Nice thing about the Southern Riders Group is we usually have small groups of around 15 or so people and while we’re riding, there isn’t more than 10 on the track at a time. Makes for allot of elbow room especially for those of you that might be a little new to track riding and for those that need the room to go!! Prices are $135 for the day and that’s usually 8 to 5 with 1 hour for lunch. The track is open “green track” for anybody at any time. Nice to be able to tweak the bike and then run back out on the track. There are a few more days this year, so at least check it out. Got any questions, PM me and I’ll answer them as best I can or email Frank.
You MUST go through Southern Riders for this track, you can’t call Roebling and try to schedule one for your own group. I have 6 days out there myself and will go back in the spring.

That I can't tell you. I only do them with Southern Riders Group. I like them because it's a small group, buck 35 a day, all day, no sessions. 10 on the track at at time. Almost never a wait with no more than 15 riding.

To make sure that I'm correct, the next track day would be on Monday November 1st. I would love to go if it was a Saturday. I did my first track day there back on 8/21/04 and had a blast (also crashed). Looking for another one, but can't come during the week cause I'm working

yeah, it was the double weekend. Saturday and Sunday. I only went on Saturday. I crashed on turn 4 (I think) [2 turns after the double apex, so that may be turn #5). I freaked myself when I thought I wasn't going to make the turn and ran into the gravel trap.

That's because your carrying allot of speed in that left sweeper and then you have to straighten up and set up for a right. That track isn't the smoothest, but it's pretty fun. I'll try to make one around April or sooner if I can. Might have another bike to play with on top of the ZRX. I gotta tangle with Joey on the purple ZX6..... I backed off on Jims ZX10 cause it wasn't mine, and I caused some cold tearing on Franks Gixxer 750. Not the Frank that run the show. Really surprised me an H2 did that with a couple warm up laps in 80 degree weather. If I come out with a ZX6RR, I'm gonna try to break into the teens. Turn 6 is ruff and caused about a sec to me in time from the bouncing, and turn 9 I have to slow down before I hit it. Good fun though

I think that I talked with you when I went to the restroom to clean the dirt off my leathers from playing in the dirt. Yeah, I was carrying a lot of corner speed in that left turn because I had just went around a guy on a GSXR 750 and I had to keep that speed to stay ahead of him. But as I was going so fast, I did not take the right line set up for the right hander turn and went wide and started to think I was going to crash and stood the bike up and went into the dirt.

It looked like you were doing pretty good on the ZRX when I was noticing the other bikes. I don't know if you say that guy on the grey gsxr 750 that looked like a pro racer out there, but he was cutting some good laps. I said to myself that must be Mat Mladin out here playing around - that guy is fast.
