2. If you had it to do over, would you buy a different bike or would you buy the same bike again? Why?

3. With unlimited funds, what would you be riding?

This should be fun! Thanks in advance for your insights!

1. I currently ride a 2000 R1 on with a 2001-2002 rebuilt front end
Akro full system
cheetah race plastics

2. I wouldn't buy a differen bike, but I'm planning on picking up an R6 strictly for the track.
Mainly, b/c of the ability to be able to wring an r6's neck like I can't do with the r1. Also, tires. I know as my speed increases, I will be guilty of severe tire abuse, so I would rather wring the piss out of an r6 and save some tire money at the same time.

3. Unlimited funds? Prolly, I would want one of the AMA graves r6's. I'm having a brain fart that is complicated with Bacardi so I'm prolly wrong, but I want to say one of the supersport r6's??? or is it superstock??? dammit.

either way, that would be my pick.

With over 10,000 racing miles on (3) Different Suzuki's I've become partial to the GSXR's. The bikes are tried and true on the track and even if their not the 'flash in the pan' fastest bike on any certain year (according to whatever magazine) they definately are always 'in the mix' on the track. The bikes are dependable, widely used so parts are available, and they are bred for the track 1st. Those who can ride them fast on the track know just how at home they are there.

Come here to the Midwest and ride whatever you want against Ed Key on his SV 650, his 50 something year old self would school the absolute majority of people on whatever they rode.

I currently ride my TT600 but I have my eyes on a race-ready '89 hawk GT. I'm just hoping I get a good tax refund so I can buy it. My TT although it's a bit overweight and underpowered when compared to other SS600's still does great and I remember keeping up with newer R6's and gixxers on the turns.
