i know what you mean. once you get use to it you will be able to carry more corner/exit speed. you might have already figured that one out, idk. this damn sport is full of these little tricks. lol.

Yeah, I'm very comfy with corner and exit speeds (it's my lines I'm looking to improve), it's the straights that give me problems believe it or not. The 600RR seems to be a difficult bike to try and hang-on to when going full out on those straights. I've always wondered if it was the design of the seat or if it's just that tiny front fairing, maybe both.

yeah, having trouble down the straights seems like a weird problem to have.

I know. Maybe it's just laziness and not forcing myself into a good enough tuck to get out of the air. The more I think about it, that's probably it. I seem to switch "on" when I see the corners and then relax too much when I'm on the straight. Now that I'm conscious of it, I'll change that.

Very nice pics, 96SNAKE/03RR. That looks like a nice track, too, which makes me look forward to a possible trackday there next year. I think that's the closest track for me; I live in Ephrata (Lancaster County).

See exhibit "A"(avatar) talk about wind  If I ever let my legs spread apart on that thing in the straights, I'd be history....  Can't get too low on mine cause my bike doesn't seem to like that body position on it. The front end starts to get a little squirrley, so that's why I seem high in the seat most of the time. Nice pics Snake!!!

thats how my dads zx-9r is. i dont like riding it because i like to hang my upper body off and when i do that i can feel the front start to do some weird stuff. i thingk a damper should fix it.

When you get a chance, swing on by www.sportbikes.ws in the Philly Riders forum. We have a great group of people over there and we've all become good friends over the years. The cool thing is we've convinced about 85% of the people in our forum to ride the track together.
