Last night, there were still 100s of fires burning on US129, some right next to the road. Deadly smoke clouds included flameless guysers erupting from holes in the ground. Video looked like Hell on Earth. One gust of wind could burn down the entire Smokies. According to the absent Forest Service and BC fire dept, that's 'under control'. BTW, I put out 2 of those fires using only my feet. Imagine what a fire dept could do if they tried.

That ticket has been on appeal in fed court for nearly a year. He said he didn't radar me for speeding behind a slow car, but "since I was leaning too much that meant I was speeding". So he made an illegal U-turn (without flashing lights and siren), was illegally speeding (without flashing lights and siren), and illegally passed a car on a double yellow line (without flashing lights and siren). Seems the park ranger's in-car video doesn't show my alleged crime, and he turned it off so it wouldn't show his crimes. He deleted all audio from the videotape.
Cops can only break the law when flashing lights and siren are on, so long as they don't crash. If prosecutors refuse to prosecute cops for breaking laws, then they cannot prosecute defendants for breaking those same laws, per Constitutional Equal Protection doctrine in the 14th Amendment (that freed the slaves).
The ranger was surprised to hear that
anonymous private corporations keep ALL revenue for all misdemeanor tickets in all federal courts, according to US District Court's website.
Seems the
feds think every traffic ticket is worth $5,000 and 6 months in jail, according to the US Attorney quoting US Code.
Now I'm trying to get all misdemanor citations reversed in that court since 1996, when they published the wrong local rule for magistrate judges:
Lee vs US Appellant Briefs and Exhibits
I don't pay traffic tickets anymore.
