Question Playing rented movies

Recently, when trying to play a rented(Netflix) new movie on my PC, my drive won't recognize movie at all. All I'll hear is a wooble sound. And yes, I have the latest firmware installed for my DVD Writer.

I can play all other movies, but I noticed Netflix puts their own barcode over the plastic ring in the center of the front of its disc. I guess this is to protect movies from being burned and copied.

Anyone else have the same problem with Netflix or other DVD rentals, recently? If so, what did you do to enable playback?

Does the disc play in a DVD player?

I have netflix and aside from 1 or 2 bad discs have no issue with their DVDs in computers or DVD players.

If you can play it on DVD player, you can play it on a PC. You probably need a decoder.

Best decoders I have used are:

VLC media player - Open Source Multimedia Framework and Player

good stuff there. if that dont work PM me. Oh and its not your firmware.
