Default .ogg files and codecs

Where do you guys go for your codecs? Is there a good central location? Or do you use something other than Windows Media Player, maybe something that includes more codecs?

Also what is your favorite program to open/convert .ogg files?

Thanks

I use AL Player for codecs not included with Windows Media Player. It's a free download and not complicated. Here's the addy. Welcome to ALTools!

I use K-Lite for the most part. QT Alternative or QT Lite for Quicktime stuff. Media Player Classic for a player.

est soft rocks....best compression agent out there...

k-lite, divx (yes, still quite useful), or get the VLC media player (plays .mkv files as well)

Default VLC better than WMP

I actually recommend using VLC player due to it having most codecs and playing more files that WMP doesn't. Also, when installing codecs, becareful in not installing too many because eventually they will interfere with each other...I had that problem before...So far i have used VLC with no problem, running XP Media Center Edition and XP Pro.

Here is the download side, be sure to download the latest version.
VLC media player for Windows

If you need anymore technical questions, feel free to send me a message...I'm an IT Analyst, so I know a few tricks...THat goes for anyone that needs help too...
