So, my computer isnt too old, got it in Jan. or Feb. Anyways I thought it was a fan at first, maybe got dusty or something so I took the side panel off and checked each fan. Noise wasnt coming from them, it was coming from a board in the computer...here's a picture for you so maybe you could let me know what it is/how to fix it?
Forgot to mention the noise is kinda like a grinding noise(I know for sure it's the thing that I circled. When I tap it I hear a change in the noise.) At first I thought it was dust in a fan, but like I said before they checked out ok.
Also another thing I just rememberd, it isn't a constant noise, it will stop every now and then. Once it's stopped, if I bump the desk or the computer it starts back up.

If it's a grinding noise, I would think moving parts are to blame. I doubt it's anything on the motherboard.... maybe one of the fans is bad/doesn't spin fluidly or maybe even the harddrive is farked. No matter the problem, backup your stuff in case something like the HDD has to be replaced.

The circled item is your video card. You said you stopped each fan, but I just want to double check. Is there a fan on the underside of that card? It would be in the middle of that silver part on the right-hand side. If you've stopped that one, the cpu fan, the fan venting to the back, and the fan\s in the power supply, the only other items with moving parts are CD\DVD drives and hard drives.
+1 If you have anything invested in the card a new fan/heatsink can be had for less than $10. Cheap fix.
