Question tail light eliminater

I have installed a taillight eliminater on my cbr 600rr. my original wiring on my bike comes with different colour wires. Each of the plugins has a green wire and a different colour wire. Would that make the green the hot wire or the ground. any help is app....blayner247

Get a $10 multimeter.

Disconnect the harness (probably inside your seat "trunk") and turn the bike on. See which line has power (and record the levels) when you do each of the following:

- turn on bike (brake light low)
- brake (brake light high)
- left signal
- right signal

Then just wire up the new light accordingly. Black is generally ground - I read somewhere else that on 600RR, all the greens are +... but it could be different for your year.

That's where the multimeter comes in handy!
