Which Program? VOB

I need to pull the individual chapters off of a VOB file. What software works best for this?

What are you trying to do? More info is needed as a VOB is a video format on a DVD. You want to rip the video or convert it to a common format?

Nero, maybe? I'm relatively unclever with DVD video re-authoring, but I believe a (torrented) copy of Nero might work.

Nero is horribly slow for converting or authoring a DVD. The best DVD authoring program I have ever used is called Convert X to DVD it's a tiny little program under 4Mb where nero is aalmost 700Mb

Convert X to DVD builds incredable DVD's with menus that work in home players much faster than nero.

But authoring isnt what he is asking I think...

I can get a link to Convert X for anyone who wants it, it totally rocks. Will make ANY video file into a playable DVD and burn it as well. What I really like is it's ability to take many different videos and put them down on a DVD with a menu and a nice back ground too. Very nice program.

Those come to mind...I haven't done this kind of stuff for a while but I'm pretty sure DVDShrink does this

I am pulling off music videos off of a dvd. They get ripped onto the hard drive as VOB files. There are about 37 songs per dic, but it brings in 5-7 files on the hard drive and I can't select which chapter I want to play. I got a tip on a piece of software called Xilisoft. I am looking into it.

You could always convert the DVD to an mpeg then split the video where you wanted but thats an aweful lot of work for what you wanna do

I'll take a look at it if you don't mind PMing me that. I've been going the long way around creating my own DVDs But it always comes out exactly as I planned it
