Default ipod video help

When I got my ipod out of my gym bag this morning, it displayed a screen that looked like a setup or diagnostic screen, not the standard home menu. Anybody know how to get it back? I tooled around in the menus this screen offered, and now it's stuck on a message that says plug in SF. WTF?

If you got the warranty on it you can get it fixed, and if it cant be fixed they will give you a new one.
