Boss just bought a new server

Boss just put in the order for a new server I'll be custom building him, and all I can do is
New server will be a database server exclusively, and will run OpenBSD 3.8 with the stock bsd.mp kernel. Specs are as follows:

Processors: Dual Opteron 248 Troy core
Memory: 2x1gb PC3200 (To be upgraded to 4x1gb at the end of Q02 this year)
Hard drives: 4x300gb SATAII drives in 0+1 RAID setup (600gb of space usable to the system)
Network: Intel Pro 1gb NIC

My only problem with the system? I won't be paid for compile time with that sort of setup, especially with OBSD!

Custom building servers for business? eek.

A former employer used all built-in-house boxes....until they started failing and we had to start replacing components and troubleshooting them. I managed to convince them that yes, pre-built systems are great if not for warranties alone.

They've since switched to IBM stuff.
