I-Pod software problem

My brother just bought an I-pod and I'm trying to load on the software but I keep getting an error. Here the Link to the apple support page for this error. Anyway. I found the registry that is causing the problem but it looks exactly like all the other registrys so I don't know what to change. I'm including two pictures, one of the error message, and one of the registry.
