Region Codes

[EX SSG on 900RR]

Does anyone know where I can get software to remove the region code's from my hp desktop. My wife has a bunch of DVD's from region 5 (I think) and the computer shows that we have only a few changes left before it is locked in. What would be the best solution for this. I'm not looking to burn DVD's (I can already make backup's ), but rather watch movies from different regions on the computer. Any help would be appreciated! It is a hp writer 740b by the way.

Figure out the make and model number of your drive and flash the firmware with a rpc1 firmware. But beware if you use wrong firmware or a bad firmware you can make your drive useless.

You can use nero info tool to find what version of firmware you got presently and etc. This is a pic of my pioneer dvr-108 with firmware 1.18

Thanks. I have been looking for firmware for my drive (740b) and can't seem to find it anywhere, I'll keep looking, but if anyone can recommend any sights I would greatly appreciate it.
