Default Frame sliders and Fairings

I have an 07 sv650s

Getting frame sliders ASAP but i want to get the lower fairings shortly afterwards. Are the sliders for the full fairings different than for without? Or can i get the sliders and use the same set with the fairings?

Anyone know of any lower fairings kits besides the suzuki's that come color matched? Thanks

The full fairings use different sliders (part #990D0-16G40-CWL versus 99950-70513).

I ordered both the full fairings and the sliders together when I first bought my bike, and got a discount from the dealer.

Not too sure about third-party fairings being color matched...

I searched around before I got mine. I could only find fiberglass kits that replaced the whole front fairing. your probably better off with suzuk skins because plastic body work has a longer lifespan, fiberglass spiders and cracks over time. when I bought my new sv 5 months ago total price was $6200 with lower fairings and pass. seat cowl. you might check svrider.com there were some bikes that had sliders that didn't interfere with oem fairings.

The sliders that Suzuki sells that fit with their fairing lowers are really weak. The mounting brackets are the weak link as they tend to bend when the bike goes down. The best sliders mount to a longer bolt through the engine mount and replace the bolt that goes all the way through the engine. These sliders will need holes cut in the fairing lowers. I passed on the fairing lowers for this reason. The sliders do work (the "used" slider was on my 650):

The lower fairing specific sliders actually double as a mounting point for the fairing. So yes, the sliders are different. And I can't see a feasible way to install any other type when using the Suzuki lower fairing.

I can tell you first hand that the bracket does not bend.

...No, I won't - that's dumb.

I'm impressed. All the parts that usually break off did, but the frame and engine cover look OK.

I have seen many instances where the Suzuki sliders on the lower fairing have bent way over and not done their job.

Thanks for the info. Ill just stick with the suzuki fairnigs and sliders, seeing as how I dont want to be cutting the fairings. How did that crash happen? if you dont mind. And what speed?
