Default GSXR 600 Front Sprocket Change

Hey all,

I have a 600 GSXR 2005, I changed my front sprocket from a 16 tooth stock to a 15 tooth. Vortex 2910. My concern is there is not a lip like that on the stock sprocket.

Meaning its just a flat gear without the extra lip on the both sides.

Varies 2910 Front Sprocket
525 Chain Pitch
Price Each:varies

Here is a link to the sprocket: It came sealed in a package but I am concerned it wont be spaced properly.

Basically it doesn't look like the one in the picture or like the stock sprocket.

You're right. If the offset is wrong alot of issues will arise. Whether it be premature wear, lose of whp, binding, louder drivetrain and so for. Remember that going down a tooth in the front will only amplify potential problems. Look into the issue before you run into headaches.
