Default Lowering a TLR?

Does anyone visit the TLR section?

Okay, I posted the question there, but not sure if anyone goes there...

I heard you can lower a TLR by removing a spacer on the rear shock. Is that true? If so, what do you do to the front? Lower it same as thickness of spacer? There is one company that makes dogbones if I have to go that route.

I love the sound of the TLR( just sold V-Strom 1000 cause I didnt like sitting up and riding, Had to lower that one too) but with a 30" inseam, I am tip toe on pavement and that is a very scary feeling.

Does anyone do 2 up riding on a TLR??

I haven't bought the bike yet, want to make sure I'm comfortable on it first.

Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks, Roger

Sorry I don't visit that section. I'm TLR ignorant. I know enough but, nothing technical off the top of my head.

That sounds about right for lowering the rear or you should be able to buy a link that will lower it. (lowering links). That's how GSXR's are. For your folks you can just raise your fork tubes. It's simple and easier. If you want to go more extreme and lose travel you can use lowering straps or cut your forks. Neither of those I would recommend. Just make sure that you copy the same ratio as stock when you lower the bike. For example if you lower your bike an inch in the rear, lower the front to copy the same original ratio as stock.
