Default 06/07 GSXR 600 compared to CBR 600 Fi

Hello,

Anyone here ridden both a CBR600 Fi and the newer GSXR 600 and the 750? My last bike was an '03 CBR 600 Fi and I am thinking about getting another 600. I really like the look and ergo of the 2006 and 2007 GSXR. Not really looking for faster, just want something different mostly for street riding, maybe track day in the future. I have considered the 750 for the benefit of more torque/midrange, but really don't need the temptation for more speed Any advice you may have - I appreciate it! Thanks.

Your F4i is one of the best street bikes ever. The newer GSXR series 600/750 will have more extreme ergos than your F4i, and about 10 more hp up top for the 600, and about 30-35 more for the 750. They weigh almost the same, with the 750 only a couple pounds more.

All of the newer super sport bikes are more narrowly focused, more specialized and track oriented than your F4i. Not always such a good thing depending on the type of riding you do. But they do what they're designed to do very well.

jk750 pretty much answered your question.
I can tell you from personal experience that the F4i handles both street and track duty equally well.Truly one of the last and perhaps the best do-it-all machines ever built. RIP (not being built for '07). I think the 'Zooks are definitely more track oriented (obviously) so you have to take that into account on your decision. My friends that I ride with (mostly CBRs) keep telling me to get rid of my "dinosaur" and by a new 600RR but I wouldn't get rid of that bike for anything! I love it and it does everything that I need it to do.
Hope the info helps!

The new suzuki's aren't bad. I own one and I ride a ton. I have ut over 8,000 miles on my bike in less than 1 year. And we can not ride all year around. F4i will be more comfortable (especially the one with the banana seat). I would get the 750. If my bike ever sells that my next venture.

Nice bump from over a year ago. I can't believe how nicely I answered that question back then.

Change your sprockets up if your just looking for more torque/midrange....you'll loose some top end but I would try that before you switch to a 750 just for those two things.
