Default Forks vs triple tree on 2005-2006 GSXR 1000

Trying to set up my bike to get it to corner a bit better, I have now come to the forks in the triple tree. How many millimeters of the fork should there be "above" the upper triple tree?

The bike is a 2005 GSXR 1000. It is used for track only, and Im using a Sprint steering damper.

Would be great if anyone had some input on this.
