Second Bike
Hi,
So I have been riding my Yamaha seca II for a while now and would like to move to a sportsbike. I know there has been many posts on the 800ss vs the sv650s, and done a bit of research and looked at both at dealers. I know the 800ss has a bullet proof engine, easy and cheap to maintain if I do it on my own (valve adjustment along with oil changes). I am assuming the suzuki is the same, just with not as good of suspension as the 800ss.
Could an experience rider that has ridden both bikes give me a real practical comparison ( I am planning on using it as a commuter bike and for some long trips on the weekend, I currently live in boston). I also know that the seat on the duc has to be upgraded to a sargent. I really do not want advise of someone who only owns an sv650s as a first bike or vice-versa with the 800ss.
