Default damn

Ok, so I was just out riding my bike on the highway. I was going about 130mph and my right fairing decided to blow right off my bike. Cant believe that happened. Almost hit my buddy behind me and a porchse. The dealership better be replacing that one for free. Ohh and on top of that, its the toolbag side, which had my registration, insurance, and everything in it. Anybody else ever have something stupid like that happen?

Never even heard of this happening. Maybe you're not putting the screws on properly.. tight. Try using 'lock-tight'

I got DSUZ quick release fasteners which are awesome.

I never took them out. The only time they were ever out was for service at the dealership. I dropped the bike off there yesterday and they are trying to put it as a warranty claim. I have the same fastners too, they work aparenty b/c they stayed in place. The only ones missing are from the underneath wich were regular bolts. Sucks not having my bike right now, its so nice out this whole week.

It sounds as though the bolt was never replaced on the front of your fairings. I would guess with enough speed and wind it would rip that bad boy right off.

Did it get damaged in the process ?

I rode with a guy few weeks ago who had a 749 with no side fairings.
I thought it just looked badass
Of course I love naked bikes

Well the dealership didnt cover the cost of the repair. Instead of paying 1145 for a new fairing from ducati, I think im gonna go with sharkskinz. Anybody have experience with their stuff? They had some at the dealership and as a custom painter the quality looks great, just worried about the fit. Thanks for any help guys.
