Yes I am 19, NO i am not in highschool or school period. No I don't work for my dad or mom, infact I haven't seen my day in 8 years. and im actually teaching my parents how to make money they way I do now. I live in toronto, in my own condo on my own. I don't belive in leasing or financing, everything I have I own. How do I have the money for all this you may be wondering, if you noticed in my description I state I am a real estate agent AND currency trader. Iv been trading since I was 15 and Iv been an agent for about 2 years now. There are some weeks were I can push $4000US a week TRADING ALONE. Not including commission on a house after it closes. I am also happy to say, I did do it on my own. I never liked and hated the idea of taking money that is just given to me. So I made sure anything I ever bought was bought and paid for by me. I had a concept pretty early in life, if i took care of myself, learned and got involved in things at as young an age as possible. I wont be regreting anything by the time im 40 as most people do when they hit that age and ask themselves. hmm what the hell have I been doing for the last 20 years with nothing to show for it?. And its true, my concept works and its proven IM the example. Most people that in turn hate me Because of what I have and do, I find are usually twice my age. Only Because Im a reminder of what time they've wasted. So they get envyous and hate me Because of it. Doesn't bother me though, Cause like I said the + about thinking ahead like I do. I can afford to not give a shit at this point, they cant.

Also someone made a comment about the bike only costing $12 grand or something. I bought it for $16,500 bran new at the dealer + tax $2475 + PDI $1200 = a grand total of $20,175.00 (not including the gear) another $2000.

Have a nice day...
Makes sense man, im not trying to bash your dreams just hard to believe for a 19 year old. Congrats on your accomplishments. The price of the bike is right, you did not get ripped off because they go for 16000-35000$ here in Ottawa, Canada. I think the reason people freak out over the fact you bought a Ducati is just for your safety,i don't think there trying to bash you with insults just for the safety. But take the course it helps allot, it thought me a hole lot of shit. I recommend it

Have a good one

I think you need something better to spend you money on than a 20 thousand dollar ornament But, I guess I'm just one of the jealous ones....

Just a suggestion, remove all the plastics before you ride it. But then again...... you have the $ to replace anything, so what the hell, leave em on!

actually the dealer who sold it to me gave me some bullshit about why they call it a 749!. I don't know if theres any truth to it maybe you guys may have heard the same thing or ssomethingdifferent. He said they call it a 749 for insurance ppurposes That anything under 750cc to the insurance companies is NOT classified as a superbike. Therefore making insurance cheaper. I don't know to me it sounds stupid, and it probably is very far from the truth. anyone know the more accurate truth?

I have a 1989 yamaha FZR400 and its classified as supersport, i tried everything to tell them its not a supersport but naw man i dont think its accurate. Im not a pro with insurance but i do know 600cc increase drastically and i do know that if your 25 and over they go down allot.

Ya I know everyone is giving me there advice based on there experience, and for my safety and all. And I appreciate it, I really do or else I wouldn't have joined SBN in the first place. I was reading over the link someone sent me a few posts back. A realllly long one about why not to start off with a 600cc+ bike as your first bike. I read the whole thing, and I think that guy is 100% right. He couldnt make any more sense and I totally agree with him.
BUT problem is, I already bought the bike!. I want to at least ride it once now that I have no choice and it is mine. I just have to be reeallllllllll reallllllyyy carful not to fuck it up. But like i said, im not planning on riding it allot so that should cut down on the times I would otherwise endup killing myself.

just curious: so you're both a real estate agent and currency trader? you said you're not in school and at 19 im thinking you havent done any college. How did you get high paying jobs at so young an age and without college?

and what exactly is a currency trader? The picture I have is of the guys at the airport who work in the exchange booth

You don't pick it up until April? Have you considered getting a beat-up EX-250 or something for the next 6 months? Dropping a $1500 bike a few times will be considerably cheaper than the price of dropping your $20k beauty even once. Just food for thought, be safe.

To answer mr.poulsen's question. I actually did go to college for a single semester, but what I realized half way through was. What they were teaching me I would be learing in my real estate courses anyway. And at more the half the cost of tuition to keep attending college. It was a complete waste of my time and money to keep attending college. Plus even if did finish college I would STILL need to take my real estate courses. So if you look at it theres alot of unnecessary wasted time in betweeen. So I got out and went straight into real estate. I still know buddies i went to college with who are still there trying to get out now, and even when they do they still have no place to go. There still going to be working a shitty job full time and in debt trying to pay off the tuition they owe. By that time they'll be 22+ years old, what I did was basicallly THINK AHEAD FAR ENOUGH to prevent myself from ending up the same way. Now hear I am at 19 Im doing better than people twice my age. I just skipped all the bullshit thats all. You do not need a college education to become a real estate agent or a high school education for that matter. You just sign up, do your coursed become licensed and aim high. As for currency trading, its actually where i make 80% of my cash. Foreign exchange is what it is, i don't know if you've heard of it. Its actually all done online, on my pc. I buy and sell currencies from around the world to make a profit. Its actually very complicated to explain and learn to a begginer, or someone just listening in. Theres aloooott to it, but in the end its definitely worth your while.
Cause lets face it guys, if your one of those people that dream of having a ducati, Lamborghini, ferrari a nice house, expensive toys ...ect. Huge amounts of Money are not just going to come to you if you nothing with the money and time you got now. Best advice, the sooner the better.
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A RICH EMPLOYEE!!. So invest your money wisely. And I'll meet you at the top some day...

naa I haven't considered getting another bike to play on just before winter comes. Im a patient guy, I can wait. Ya it might help tune my skills a little more but I just don't have the time or the room to keep storing all these machines. So im thinking im just going to wait it out, plus if i get another bike now it will probably just ruin the suspense when I actually do go pick up my duc. Thanks for the thought though...

I live 5 hours away from Toronto and in the next 2 months will be under 5 feet or more of snow, so buying a bike for 2 months isnt profitable for "Lambo_NV"

only caught part of it, but someone said that you could just change the seat to change from mono to biposto, that's not true. the biposto's have different subframes and can carry more weight, not to mention the fact that they have the mounts for passenger pegs.
