Default 2003 749 Biposto won't start (wet plugs?)

Hi, recently I purchased a second hand 03’ 749 from a Buffalo NY owner. He took meticulous care of this bike -mater of fact this bike never seen rain until I came to pick it up on my F150 bed.

My ride home was a 6 hour rainy day. The bike got soaked and now it does not want to start. I am betting it may be water in the fuel system or wet spark plugs.

I hope someone can give me some advice on what to do. I am a bit nervous about doing work on my own since this is my first Ducati.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’ve scheduled an appointment with the DUC service shop and I can’t wait 3 weeks!!!

Is it dead completely? ie hit the start button and nothing? Or just keeps cranking?
