I think it's funny that he actually thinks a tank slapper is when you wheelie to hard and the tank smacks you in the face, not even close buddy.

Um ok not true, My 600RR will raise up @ 4000. Ride to 2500 rev 4 dump clutch front tire comes up. So I think you should ride all 600's before posting a general statement.

Yeah, definately don't want to be clutching it up in first. It comes up way too damn fast for a beginner to even attempt to control it. Just try to throttle it up in first. Mine does it with the stock gearing and it's hella old. Sorry to hear that you bit it though. Could have been a lot worse.

a tank slapper is when the bars turn from lock to lock very quickly and very violently, often throwing the rider off the bike. they can be caused by hard acceleration or setting a wheelie down with the bars crooked(dont ask me how i know)
