Default Is the clutch goin? 2nd gear clutch ups non-existant

The bike does not want to come up near balance point at all in 2nd. I'll roll at 30-55 mph and slip it to redline and it comes up 5-6 inches. I've tried jerking, I've tried standing; I've even tried a bit of bounce standing while reving red and jerking and chewing bubble gum, it does not come up....wwwwwwwwtf dude/dudettes?

Is my clutch going? (18,500 mi) I've owned it since 11K and have never abused the clutch except for my 1st gear clutch ups (not more than 300 of these)

Its hard to say. Are you experiencing any other problems besides this and have you ever adjusted your clutch? If you roll on the throttle real hard in 2nd and the bike revs faster than it picks up speed then your 2nd gear may be going out. I guess the 1st question I should have asked is were u able to do wheelies in 2nd before?

^ I was able to get them up much easier before, much higher (Never really went to balance point, althought I'm pretty sure I could have) with much less revs.

If it IS the clutch, it hasent affected my normal riding yet, I can hammer on it in 1st and 2nd and it will grab and go, no lag.

and I HAVE NOT adjusted my clutch, should that be the first thing I check before going any further?

Yeh try adjusting your clutch 1st. Hopefully thats all it is and you wont have to come out of pocket for any repairs. If it is the clutch though they arent very expensive.

mines starting to get like that now also. used to be able to clutch up in 3rd w/ stock gearing when it was new, geared it to 60t rear 2 yrs ago and could clutch up 5th. Now it wonmt come up in 3rd lol. Im going to throw a clutch in it soon. Hasnt affected my 1st gear slow stuff yet so havent really worried much about it.
