Stunterz CornerDo you like to ride a bit different from everyone else? Like to see how long you can ride on one tire? Front or back? Well this is the place for you. All Stunt groups are located here now.
I've been riding now for about 2 1/2 - 3 years. My first bike was a 1996 YZF 600r, and I could never get it to stand up. I just purchased a CBR F3 recently and the power seems much smoother and the bike just seems to be better all around IMO. Anyway, I've ridden quads basically my entire life and I can stand those up on the balance point no problem, although I've flipped many of them haha. Anyway, I've been practicing my clutch wheelies, and I FINALLY got it to the point where I can clutch it up and actually keep it up for awhile.. I'm close to the balance point but haven't actually reached it yet.. it's going to take a little more trust in the bike and in myself to do it, but I was just happy that I've made it this far. That is all.. carry on
well congrats, it's a good feeling when you start to keep them up for a bit. However I'd be careful saying that you have now mastered the wheelie. When you can hold a wheelie at balance point consistantly, than maybe you can say that. Once you learn how to do that, then you will have to learn how to master tank wheelies, and seat standers, and highchairs, and slow wheelies, etc etc.
Yeah, I agree with you. I haven't completely "mastered" it so to speak, but I'm consistent now, which is key. Everytime I want to wheelie I can stand it up for awhile and I'm happy with that.. but once I do get comfortable with the balance point you can be sure to be seeing some vids/pics of me
here are some pics from today.. my girlfriend isn't very good at taking pictures in motion lol... she kept taking them right when i popped the bike up not when i had it the highest.. oh well
nice pics, i just had a very successful weekend full of wheelies, im doing 1st gear powerwheelies, rev to 7, cut, hit and up she goes. got to where i can rider her all the way to rev limiter and gently set her down. even did 4 or 5 good standup wheelies, man those come up alot faster.
it took a few days after i got comfortable popping her up to get where i can do it "on demand"
so much fun! too bad its illegal, cuz im addicted.

you can power up a 500? not hating but power wheelies are bad for your health.
