Katana and Wheelie don't belong on the same page. J/K Start out goin in first at like 15mph then just pull clutch in a lil and rev engine a few grand past road speed and let out clutch. Start at small increments till ya get the front to come up.

I just have a question about clutching in general, when people say "slipping" is that like riding the clutch in a car? Just letting it out a little slower?

Yes, and it can also mean not pulling it in all the way to begin with, so its kind of on and off at the same time.

Ah, alright, thanks. Thats what I figured it was, but as I have no experience with riding bikes, I only had my car experience and lingo to go on.

Yes, but to wheelie a Kat more than a foot or so you can't "slip" the clutch... Basically, at 15mph with stock gearing you'll have to pull the cluth, go WOT (wide open throttle) and drop the clutch. Even then you might not get up far...

How to wheelie a Kat (especially an older 600):

1. Go to a dealer
2. Buy a different bike
3. Sell the Kat.

You can wheelie a Kat, but I don't know why you would want to. That is one heavy bike to be trying to balance on one wheel. You can wheelie anything on 2 wheels, but that doesn't make it a good idea.

It will wheelie in first just as fast as anything else. Second gear you would have to redline it and dump the clutch with stock gearing.

IMO you should get a bigger rear and smaller front sprocket. If you dont like it, go back to stock. Its better than spending $3500 on a stunt bike, and not liking it.
