Default Question? Power or Clutch

Hey i just hit 1kmiles on my 06'gsxr6 so i been trying to learn how to wheelie. Guys say to learn to power wheelie first but i couldnt ever seem to get it up. Just a whole lot of jolting. So i tried to clutch it and it came up like nothing! felt good under control with a lot less kick. This was my first time so my question is if i should learn the power meth. or just keep working on the clutching method?? any comments?

A buddy of mine on an 02 Kawi 600 can power his up in 2nd every try. He just learned them about two weeks ago, so I know it can be done. Just BOUNCE IT!

1st gear isn't difficult. I kind of do a crack-CRACK!! and it comes right up. 2nd gear I can bounce it up. I'm only 150 lbs so that does help too. I don't like to clutch it. Personally, I don't feel in control. But thats just me.

I learned them by bouncing. Now I seem to feel more comfortable clutching up second. I seem to pull it up smoother that way.

I also have a k6 600. Having a hell of a time trying to power it up. On your k6, what gear did you clutch it in? What rpm did you start to pull the clutch in? What rpm did you rev to before dumping the clutch?

Still pretty nervous everytime i try my first wheelie. Im about 230 lbs so im sure that doesnt help me.
