Default Tire pressure for wheelies

Can anyone explain if rear tire pressure has anything to do with wheelies and if so what should it be set at? Im new to this and want to do wheelies the right way with out bad habits or f-ing myself up thanks guys.

Second question has to do with stoppies, on my bike I Have a dial on my front brake lever its set at 4 what is a good setting for this?

How fast are the wheelies? Highway wheelies I like to run 28-32psi in the rear, anywhere in there. Slower wheelies I run as low as 12-15. High speed wheelies really dont need any special pressure, so if you're new to this just put it around 30 and give that a shot.

The dial on your front brake, im assuming is the dial that brings the lever in or out. That has nothing to do with your braking other than putting the lever at a comfortable distance away from the grip for your hand. Put it where you like it...

Since you are learning then you probably arent going to be doing any slow wheelies, so you could leave the tire at the stock pressure whatever that may be for you bike. Taking too much air out of your rear can cause wobbles at higher speeds. And if you dont have one I would also recommend getting a steering damper it is worth the investment. It has saved my as many times. Have fun and be safe.

You could reduce your rear tire pressure to maybe 25 psi just to get a little more contact area with the ground to be on the safe side. My friend was trying some wheelies at arround 30 mph and his rear tire slipped away pretty often when engaging the clutch. I think the road may had a really shitty surface, but it is always better safe than sorry.

Be careful, the wike won't turn that easy anymore though!
