Default Need some advice...

I need a little help here. I've been practicing tank wheelies and I'll be damned if I've gotten it up more than 2 ft. Every time I try em the back tire spins and the front end comes up but only like 1'-2'. I have no prob with stand -ups, sit-downs, just when I'm on the tank. I used to do them fine on my 600 and I'm having problems on a 1000!!?? I don't get it! Snigg any pointers bro?

Maybe do a quick burnout to get the tire nice and sticky?

tire warmed up? what kinda tire? i sometimes get tire spin but i just spin it then it catches and launches up anyway, you probably got shitty tires, cold tires, or high tire pressure.

Please don't take me for and idiot, I've covered the basics. Tire 22psi it's a piece of shit Dunlop 207, which I believe to be 1/2 of my problem. Yes I do a small burnout to get the tire sticky and it's definitely warm because I ride for like 20 mins. before hand. I'm getting the same thing Snigg, burns for a sec and then comes up. The problem is by the time it comes up my R's are to high to get it to the balance point. I think I'm gonna wait till I get the Michelins on there before I try it again.

Dude the 207's are your entire problem I guarantee it! I had those on my f4i when I first got it. I tried doing wheelies and they would never come up because the tire would spin. I almost ate shit a few times because of them. Once I got on a pair of diablos it was on. I have the Metzler M1's on the R6 now and they are nice as well.

Tank wheelies are fun to ride I just hate bringing them down.

in general...

lasts longer = harder rubber = not as good for stunting

its all bs, its not the tire. Yes some are stickier than others but I have killed every kind of tire out there and I use them all. The big ass 1000 is your biggest problem, they suck for stunt riding, too much power and not enough weight. when you jump up on the tank get to the speed you want to clutch it up at and let the clutch out until you can fill it grab. Then clutch from there. If there is any slop in the clutch your rpms will go up before the clutch is disengaged and you spin everytime on a 1000. You are use to the 600 so you are clutching too hard. No big deal man you will get use to it. You won't be happy with the 1000 if you want to slow down your wheelies and find a good balance point. They sure are fun to ride though!!!!!!!! Good luck!!!

try more throttle and less rpms when clutching it up.
That works for me when i try to do wheelies on shitty surfaces.
and yeah, get a different tire
