Default Did my 1st wheelies

Well I finally decided to grow a pair of balls and start wheelieing my new zx-6r. These are the only pics that came out good I just powered em up by rolling up to wot from about 20 mph. Had a couple of higher ones by closing the throttle and then gunning it. Well next i'm gonna try 1st gear clutch ups.

Its a good start. Try clutching it...I think you would find that it comes up a bit easier and you will have more room to play with the throttle.

That would definetely be me you're talking about mr.anti-wheelie! BUT When I'm working on my wheelies I've found clutching to be better than powering it up and plus Snigg says clutching is better so it has to be .

Yea i just grew a set too... tried wheelies for the first time like 20 minutes ago. I f'd up way more than did anything, but my friend said i was a good foot off the ground a couple times. i was clutching em up in 2nd gear at about 40mph at about 12k rpm. he just learned today too and said thats the best way to go about doing them. Does that sound right?

All I can say is that it takes a lot of really bad wheelies to make good ones. Took me almost a season to hit BP...thats a lot of times I slammed my front into the ground before I got it. Keep practicing

If you're still timid keep trying the low power wheelies until you feel more comfortable. closing the throttle and ripping it back helps, but if it does'nt get better try clutching it a little at a time or you'll scare the crap out of your self the first time the tank hits you in the chest.

Can you post your avatar in normal size? Is that your girlfriend on the back? If so she's got some balls.

I'd be careful with that. Never tried it my self but it sounds like either a 12 'o clock or a loop waiting to happen. Try clutching it up in 2nd instead.

first gear does come up fast, but its not a 12oclock or loop.

I've tried a couple times clutching them up in 1st with no luck, just not enough throttle.
